OVERVIEW

Our refund and returns policy lasts 28 days. If 28 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging if supplied.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 28 days after delivery

 

CANCELLATIONS AFTER RECEIVING GOODS

An order may be cancelled up to 14 calendar days after receiving the items. 

You must inform us of cancellation by writing, this can be done by emailing us at sales@deckingsupplies.co.uk  and must include: your name, order number, contact information, the items to be returned, and any other relevant information.

You then have 14 calendar days from the point of notifying us of the cancellation to return the items to us. The item(s) must be in the same condition as they were received, including in its original packaging (if supplied).

You are responsible for returning the item(s) to us in its original condition and are responsible for all postal costs or other costs incurred when returning the item(s).

 

BESPOKE ITEMS

We do not accept returns or give refunds on bespoke items unless these items are faulty. An example of a bespoke item would be any item undergone machining or that has been made to order.

 

RETURNS DUE TO FAULTY ITEMS

You have 28 days from the date of receiving the order to tell us about faulty items. Faulty items reported after 28 days and before 6 months are not eligible for full refunds, and may be repaired or part replaced instead. 

When contacting us about a faulty item, please include any relevant images as this will speed up the process. 

If you wish to return the item because you are claiming that it is defective we will examine the returned item and will notify you of our findings and confirm whether you are entitled to a refund on the grounds that the item was defective. 

A defective item returned by you within 28 days will be refunded in full, including a refund of the original delivery charges charged to you and the postal cost incurred by you in returning the item to us provided that a receipt for or evidence of such costs is provided.

 

EXCHANGES

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at sales@deckingsupplies.co.uk and send your item to Shawfield Timber, Unit 6 Shawfield Trade and Retail Park, Boundary Rd, Glasgow G73 1DB.

 

REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original payment method, as soon as possible, or within 30 days of receiving the returned items.

 

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you haven’t received a refund, check your bank account again. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

HOW TO RETURN PRODUCTS

To return your product, you should send your product to: 

Shawfield Timber, Unit 6 Shawfield Trade and Retail Park, Boundary Rd, Glasgow G73 1DB.

You will be responsible for paying for your own delivery costs for returning your item. delivery costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return delivery will be deducted from your refund. It is your responsibility to ensure that the returned goods arrive in the same condition that they were received by you.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable delivery service or purchasing delivery insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
